Gateway classic car in houston is proud to offer this 1972 plymouth duster! This is a black on black car with a clean stock 340 cid v8 engine that goes through a 727 torqueflite automatic transmission to an 8 â¾ suregrip rear end with 3:23 gears. The paint is tx9 black with the black interior which is correct for this car. It has the t/a-style hood scoop and new sharktooth grill. It has new power disc brake conversion from the ram man inc. New rear brakes, drums and wheel cylinders. New 15x7 wheel vintiques rear wheels, new trim rings, new cooper tires and a new gas tank. The car received a new headliner, new rear seat, new door mirror, new tuff wheel steering wheel, new window trim, new pistol grip shifter. The instrument panel, hvac controls and radio face plate have all been professionally restored. It has a new griffen aluminum direct fit radiator with twin 10â? 157; electric fans and new flowkooler water pump. It has new firm feel front sway bar, torsion bars, upper control arms and suspension rebuild. It got all urethan bushings, new bilstein rcd shock, new pitman arm, new firm feel stage 2 steering gear box and new power steering pump. Chrysler's electronic ignition became standard on the 340 models in 1972. The duster was not changed significantly for 1972. New surface-mount side marker lights replaced the previous flush-mount items, the taillamps became larger, one-piece units. The duster was a success for plymouth, so much so that in 1971 dodge requested and received their own version, the demon. This is one awesome car that has been extremely well maintained.
