S hard to say how many of those stories are true but the cars became known as rent-a-racers. To commemorate these legendary cars, shelby created the 2006 gt-h. Number 222 of just 500 produced, this retired rent-a-racer racked up just 9600 miles before being retired from rental duty. It now has 9858 total miles making it one of the lowest mileage hertz cars that we have seen. It still has the original pirelli zero nero tires with 7-8 32nds tread remaining. They are practically new. The 2006 mustang gt-h is sure to follow in the footsteps of the gt350h. This vehicle also includes the shelby dash plate. Indicating that this is number 222. It has never been installed on the car as the original vinyl version is still in place. Also included is the matching shelby key tag with car id. This car also has the optional sirius tuner with hertz logo. S venerable 4. 6l modular motors. As a 2006 model, this is the 24v sohc equipped with variable camshaft timing. For the gt-h, that comes in the form of a ford racing power pack. First, the ecu is flashed for a more aggressive timing curve. Next, breathing is made easy through a 90mm cold air intake, free-flowing mufflers and an x-pipe that replaces the more restrictive h-pipe. The upgrades add roughly 25hp and 10lb. The engine fires up with ease and sounds killer through the revised exhaust system.
